Tours
Assembly House is an immersive artwork by Dennis Maher and Assembly House 150 that transforms a historic former church into a continuously evolving architectural dreamworld. Tours guide our guests through this total environment, which consists of an ever-changing ensemble of restored and newly-built architectural fragments, sculptural furnishings, models, and other artifacts, interwoven with layers of the surrounding building. The reimagined church is a place of architectural discovery and inspiration. Each tour provides the unique opportunity to see the latest transformations of the extraordinary interior, as well as projects under construction.
In 2021, Assembly House won an international Great Places Award in the category Place Art from the Environmental Design Research Association and the Project for Public Spaces. Assembly House is featured in “111 Places in Buffalo That You Must Not Miss” by Brian Hayden (2023) and on the cover of “The City Creative: The Rise of Urban Placemaking in Contemporary America” by David Schalliol and David Carrier (2021).

The Assembled City Tour
The Assembled City Tour is a multi-site experience that includes a guided tour of Assembly House, as well as visits to our project sites and the Fargo House. Limited three-hour tour offering. Requests need to be made at least six weeks in advance. Inquire via email below.
