Interfield transforms the education spaces at the Burchfield Penney Art Center into a densely layered, inspiring environment for art making. Using specially crafted furnishings, sculptural walls, and other found artifacts, Interfield combines a museum education space with dream-like visions of an interior living room and garden grotto. It is an invitation for discovery, encouraging interaction with the layered assemblages of forms, textures, and surfaces.  

This work of functional sculpture blends newly crafted objects with architectural components, furniture parts, and other found artifacts while teaching skills to aspiring builders. Interfield was created with contributions by artisans, students, and tradespeople at The Assembly House.
